At Route Media, we are big on data and innovation. This is reflected in our newest partnership with Datajam.
Datajam boxes are only the size of a 20p coin, but in terms of data they pack a big punch! Over the past few weeks our team has been installing these across our inventory networks. The ‘Jamboxes’, as they are called, allow us to gather anonymised mobile device data from near our inventory, giving us pinpoint accurate, hour-by-hour audiences figures for our screens.
In time, these boxes will also learn how the local weather effects our audience figures, so we will be able to predict how many shoppers head inside on a rainy day, or how many people head to Bute Park in the summer
Head of Data and Insight at Route, Jodie, said “It’s great to be able to offer our clients accurate, unbiased audience figures for our inventory. There’s no guesswork in these numbers, it’s simple data which we can feed into our internal systems to make all our work more accurate. The potential of the AI weather learning for future is also really exciting.”
Technical Director at DataJam, Jeff Burton, said “It’s been a pleasure working alongside the team at Route Media on this roll out and we look forward to future expansion with them. At DataJam we are amazingly proud of the team, and the cost-effective product and service they have developed.”
