This digital hardware case study explores the process of upgrading the Grand Pavilion's advertising solutions.
The background
Awen Cultural Trust is a registered charity which manages several cultural points of interest such as the Grand Pavilion in Porthcawl. They realised their existing internal advertising sites were dated and didn’t provide flexibility. During the pandemic, the Pavilion was closed to the public, so Awen Cultural Trust took the opportunity to make some changes to the layout and interior design of the venue. Awen Cultural Trust redesigned the internal café space and added a brand-new bar.
With their newly furnished space, they needed a solution to display their food and drink menus, advertise special offers and promote upcoming performances and events whilst reducing their carbon footprint. They decided to work with us and upgrade to digital screens which have been installed behind the newly refurbished café counter and bar.
The challenge
To reduce their overall carbon footprint Awen Cultural Trust were keen to not only upgrade their advertising solutions, but also to move away from paper-based informational materials with short expiration dates. The ideal solution was to integrate digital inventory into the Grand Pavilion.
The process
At Route, we have make it simple when you want to use digital hardware to improve and environment and give you more flexibility. Working with Head of Marketing and Communications at Awen Cultural Trust, we developed a strategy that combined interactive advertising with informational properties to create the ideal digital solution.
We quickly understood the clients’ preferences and goals and collaborated closely to work towards bringing brand new digital hardware to the Pavilion. With lots of email communication, site visits and phone calls, we ensured Awen Cultural Trust had confidence in our offering and the products would fulfil their needs.
We installed digital menu boards, which are ideal for displaying informative or entertaining images in retail environments, and digital totems that display upcoming events and informational materials. With powerful built-in solutions, the Grand Pavilion can now effortlessly showcase material without the need for external playback devices.
The results
This project required careful planning, strong attention to detail and exceptional project management.
The results? Three brand new screens have been installed that have re invigorated the space and improved the overall Grand Pavilion experience. The Grand Pavilion now have digital hardware solutions that reduced their paper-based materials and now, the team can update their visual content quickly, easily, and remotely.
The team at Grand Pavilion and Awen Cultural Trust are delighted with the results.
